Mother Natures Repellent

Extensive laboratory and field research has been conducted by scientists at major universities and by various testing facilities utilizing natural oils and plant extracts.

Zebra Mussels
Lake Michigan field experiments, conducted under the auspices of the Aquatic Research Institute of East Chicago, IN,determined that Zebra mussels will not naturally attach to coatings into which pepper extracts have been incorporated into.

Termites, Wood Borers & Fire Ants
Research conducted at the Center for Urban and Structural Entomology at Texas A&M University established that both Formosa and subterranean termites are repelled when encountering wood coated with pepper materials. Extensive testing is being performed in Australia and Florida, preliminary reports are very positive.

Birds
Field studies show that Woodpeckers are repelled when attempting to bore into wood coated with Capsaicin/Ceramic microsphere laced coatings.

Barnacles
One innovative potential antifoulant may be hidden in a plant called guayule is the subject of research by polymer chemist Shelby Thames, of the University of Southern Mississippi. The compound partheniol, taken from the plant, has prevented fouling on wood and especially metal. Testing of paints laced with high levels of Eco-Pel have been tested in the intercoastal waterways of Central Florida and Australia with very positive results.

If pepper extracts alone can produce such dramatic test results imagine the results you will realize with Eco Pel. For example one of the "secret ingredients" in Eco Pel is a borate compound. Borate compounds have been used in Europe, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia and other countries around the world for over 40 years. Wood-destroying organisms had been a major problem until soaking construction timbers in a borate solution was mandatory In New Zealand. This was introduced in 1953 and since that time there has been no single reported incidence of failure in these treated houses.

Combined with zinc, borates are also a very effective flame and smoke suppressant and also act as a flame retardant in cellulose insulation. Borates interfere with termites' metabolic pathways when ingested through feeding or grooming, effectively killing them. Surviving termites avoid the protected wood products. The addition of d'Limonene, a very effective, biodegradable solvent occurring in nature as the main component of citrus peel oil to our compound is another all natural additive that instantly strips away a protective wax coating from the exoskeletons of insects which causes them to suffocate and die on contact. d'Limonene is also a very effective, all natural antimicrobial biocide.
As you can see the Hy-Tech researchers have developed a complex mixture of all natural, proven ingredients that will effectively eliminate your pest problem.
